The end of an era...

...on the eve of the election, I sit watching Barack Obama speaking on television from a place less than an hour away. The atmosphere here about Tuesday is electric. While I am residing (at least temporarily) in a "blue state", in a very historic city, I am excited about the passion that exists among Americans. I learned this weekend that Frances Scott Key wrote the poem that is now the National Anthem while watching the British attack Baltimore in the very harbour I am looking at now, at the beginning of the War of 1812. Now, there is a cool and calm peacefulness out there and a prosperous city a mile across the way. I am still very proud to be an American and I look forward to a fresh, new set of faces...like a kid on the first day of school...,to start again, to take bigger strides to unite us all and to make our country even greater!

Regardless of how it turns out tomorrow, we must ALL put aside personal prejudices (prejudgments) and allow the winner to take the reigns and pull for successes!

By the way, I feel great after treatment #19. Half-way home tomorrow! Had a great weekend with my good friend, Sue Coursey! We had a lot of fun and I feel very uplifted! Halloween pics are coming! Feel free to contact me privately dougfields@ymail.com Peace and Be well!
